“I’m Not Cool” - by Scoot Krippayne
Some people tell me that I look kind of funny
My nose is red and the braces didn’t work at all
They say the clothes I wear are all out of fashoin
I don’t fit in and should be shopping at a different mall
I studied classical piano when I could’ve been playing guitar
I used to drive an El Camino and I’m not even sure it’s a car
(Chorus)
I’m not cool but that’s okay
My God loves me anyway
I’m not cool but that’s alright
I’m still precious in His sight
I’m not cool but I don’t care
How I’m supposed to do my hair
I’m not cool but that’s okay
My God loves me anyway
It doesn’t matter if I know all the lingo
He dosen’t mind if I’m not hanging with a certain crowd
Some people still believe in building image
But I am fine and that’s a worry I can do without
I used to wish I was athletic but football was never my game
I met some friends in mathematics but no one can spell my last name
He says that I am one of a kind
And I don’t have to try to be somebody else
He believes in me and says I’m free to be myself
I can be myself

This has been a song that I have related so closely with - If ever there was a song on my life this song would definitely fit the bill the closest !! =) I guess this is one reason I relate to many children who struggle with being in the “lime-light”. Sometime we are given the privilege of having the spotlight. Sometimes we don’t. If we actually do, we (even I) must learn to channel all glory to God. And if we don’t, let shrug it off and remember that the Creator of the Universe, the One who made Everest and the four seasons loves ME !!!!
WITH luv,

Ok.. For those of you who have been wondering what in the world happened to my old blog, well, it ALIVE !!! Oh yes, it is..
If you read the post (“Final Decision”), you would come to know that I have decided to only post stuff on Arts & Event I attend or participate in. I’d rather have it this way since I am getting used to this tumblr thingy.
I want to just take this time to explain the “Joe’s Decatunes” part you find on the top of that blog. It is actually a chart that tells all you people what are the top ten songs running in my head during the past week. So as with many other charts, an analysis would be put up (hopefully) every week. This is so that you guys (or gals) can know why “some” songs went up, down, in or out of “Joe’s Decatunes”.
***Read more about what’s coming up in the blog through that post yea.
Just in case you have forgotten just click here to get in =)
Please check it out (not just the chart lah - the songs too yea)
AND I NEED YOUR REVIEWS TOO !!

Something really amazing happened to me today. Mom, Rebekah, BOTH grandmothers and I went to Subang Parade and Grandma (Dad’s side) told me to pick a present. I was looking for any cd that would jump out and excite me.
Giving you the scoop of some of recommendation or just plain wrecks in Christmas music to suit that fuzzy Christmassy feeling. Well, I guess I’ll recommend two first.
My number one recommendation of a great Christmas cd is Michael W Smith’s “It’s a Wonderful Christmas”. This cd is completely packed with great Christmas orchestral music. A great balance of traditional and contemporary. With 11 tracks on this album, the only song that would probably be familiar to us all is “What Child Is This”. However, like 5 or 6 other songs on this album - this song is a beautiful instrumental piece.
Best song in Album : Michael does a superb duet with American Idol’s Season Five Top Seven finalist Mandisa. Mandisa’s vocals are hardly ever shaky. The song is called “Christmas Day”.
We can’t have Christmas without Cliff, can we ? “Cliff at Christmas” is Cliff’s second Christmas album. The first one being - “Together with Cliff”. This album is a compilation of some of the favourites from that previous album as well as some new ones. There are definitely some great great twists too some good ol’ Christmas jingles. Of course, some Cliff original Christmas classics such as “Savior’s Day” and “Mistletoe and Wine” are sandwiched in this 17-song Christmas record. For those wondering where Cliff’s “Millennium Prayer” could be found - this particular cd has it as its bonus track (Track 17). Hurry and don’t miss the chance in getting this great.
Best Song : Turning a Christmas classic on its head and making it sound different yet still soothing to the ears, Cliff’s “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” is the best song. And although this song is titled as the “best song” - and although it is the first track on the album - this album hardly goes downhill as the tracks play on. “Little Town” and “Santa’s List” are also great tracks to look out for. =)
Probably one of the newest Christmas cd’s on the shelves currently. With only 2 out of 13 songs being unfamiliar and none out of the other 11 song were sung with any effort to “spice it up” a little, David Archuleta’s “Christmas From the Heart” is my unfortunate pick for Christmas cd wreck =( — I think the reason it isn’t my recommendation is that he didn’t really change the dynamics or any of the arrangement of the songs. It was extremely stale and totally “straight-laced”. There was no “Kapow” or “Ooomph” factor. I am a so-so fan of Archie coz c’mon, the guy does have a nice voice - I just wished he’d act 19 (not 90).He did “try” to change some of the notes here and there - still ain’t enough for me =)
Best song : Having said all that, there is still at least one or two good songs in EVERY record right ? “Pat-A-Pan” gets that title in Archie’s “Christmas From The Heart”. It is probably the only song worth downloading or getting. But it really makes you go “Aahhh (soothingly) !! Christmas is finally here”..
Hope this helps your pick if your looking for some season melodies !!
God bless everyone
Continue to enjoy your hols
